I am amazed at how fast time flies! It just so happens our homeopathic and herbal medicines are flying off the shelves, too!

Recently, Christine and Christy were discussing how our clinic is constantly ordering homeopathic medicines and nutritional supplements, but no matter how many boxes come in, we need more!

Why is this? It’s partly because we are in the middle of spring, and that means it’s Liver and Gall Bladder time. Many patients come in with problems this time of year. But, we have lots of homeopathic and herbal medicine options to help. Don’t suffer from bladder infections and cough/sinus problems…and a host of other ailments. Again, we can help!

Also these days, we often are prescribing supplements for tendon/ligament injuries, headaches, cravings for sugar and the desire to lose weight. Every season brings its own set of health problems; we treat more of them in that season. It’s interesting to watch; the last 16 years of my practice have taught me a lot. It’s amazing to think the Asians understood this thousands of years ago.

Healthy food makes the best medicine. So this spring, remember to eat apples, asparagus, eggs, clams, crab, honey, lemons, mangoes, peas, pears, pineapples, string beans, tomatoes, and yams.

These foods build the Yin, which will help calm the Yang. The Yang rises in spring, which you may feel as heat in your face, or a rapid pulse. Also add sesame seeds, celery, chives, clams, peppermint, plums, and vinegar to your diet. As usual, lots of veggies and a little fruit are very cleansing for the systems.

I have re-joined the Common Ground Organic Co-op, and I highly recommend it to you, too! The cost versus what I spend on organic is very reasonable here, plus it’s fun and I love meeting new people who think value healthy eating. They even have single share memberships available. Remember to call for your spring tune-up, too. Keep your immune system and peace of mind running smoothly. Believe it or not, the emotions with spring are anger, frustration, and depression. A tune-up can help you deal effectively with these feelings, and lessen their power. Call us at 386-734-4126. In June, it will be time for the Summer Meridians tune-up (Heart/Small Intestine, Heart Protector and Triple Warmer Meridians).
