No, I will not. NASA and government agencies have been researching Acupuncture for the last decade. France, China, and Russia already have used acupuncture in space to treat and prevent several conditions. Astronauts can experience symptoms such as “space sickness,” decreased kidney function, body fluid loss, and insomnia. It costs approximately $10,000 to put one pound of payload into space. And you know how little those needles are! Also, drugs like Benadryl can “ground” crew for up to 60 hrs. I have treated sore throats that were gone in 4 hours. The one problem is those needles can hide or fall out and short circuit electronics, so they are looking at laser acupuncture. Either way, Acupuncture, and traditional medicine can and will be used on NASA’s crewed mission to Mars in the 2030s.
