I have been eating organic foods, belonging to Organic Co-ops and growing our own veggies before they were even called “organic,” just good food. It is easier now for anybody to get organic veggies, fruit, eggs, meat, milk or anything else.
Want to start eating more organic foods? Start out with promising to buy one new organic product a week. As you add each week, you will also promise to buy one less grain, artificially sweetened, processed, soda, junk food item. In one year, you will be amazed at how healthy you are, and the food bill will be the same! Our local food stores are increasing the organics in response to our requests.
Try the Healthy Food Stores, and join the Co-op on Taylor Road. Show up some Saturday morning for a tour. I found it was very cost-effective – we were not throwing out rotting veggies. They also have classes to help you learn how to cook and prepare the food.
